LED light dimmers

LED dimmers to adjust light intensity

LED light dimmers allow you to adjust the brightness of your lighting to suit each moment. You can increase the light level when you need greater visibility or reduce it to create a softer, more relaxing atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and other spaces.

In our catalogue you will find LED dimmers for different types of installation. Depending on the system, you can control the brightness using a push button, TRIAC dimming or wireless RF solutions, among other options.

Before choosing, it is important to check that the lamp, bulb or driver is dimmable and compatible with the system being used. It is also advisable to review the minimum and maximum load supported by the dimmer, especially if you are going to control several luminaires from the same point. An incompatible combination can cause flickering, buzzing or unstable dimming.

Choose the LED dimmer that best suits your installation and control the brightness of your luminaires easily and conveniently.

What dimmer do I need for an LED lamp?+

The first thing to check is that the lamp, bulb or driver is clearly specified as dimmable. You will then need to check which dimming system it uses, as not all dimmers work in the same way.

For example, a luminaire designed for TRIAC dimming will require a dimmer that is compatible with this system. There are also installations that use PUSH, 1-10V, DALI or other control systems.

Our advice: before buying a dimmer, always check the luminaire specifications to see which type of dimming it supports. This is the easiest way to avoid compatibility issues.

Can I use any dimmer with dimmable LED bulbs?+

No. The fact that a bulb is dimmable does not mean that it will work correctly with any dimmer.

Dimmers designed for older halogen or incandescent bulbs may have minimum load requirements or operating characteristics that are not well suited to LED lighting, which can cause flickering, a limited dimming range or irregular performance.

Our advice: use a dimmer specifically compatible with LED lighting and also check the recommendations provided by the bulb or luminaire manufacturer.

What wattage should an LED dimmer support?+

The total wattage of the connected luminaires must remain within the load range supported by the dimmer. If you are going to control several bulbs or lamps from the same dimmer, you will need to add together the wattage of all of them.

It is also important to check the minimum load, as some dimmers may operate unstably when the connected wattage is too low.

Our advice: leave some margin below the maximum load and always check the specific limits of the dimmer.

Why does an LED lamp flicker when dimmed?+

One of the most common causes is an incompatibility between the dimmer and the lamp, bulb or driver. It can also happen if the connected wattage is below the minimum load required by the dimmer to operate correctly.

Our advice: if flickering occurs, first check the compatibility of the system and the supported load range before assuming that the luminaire is faulty.
