LED ceiling lamps

LED ceiling lamps: design, efficiency and functionality

LED ceiling lamps offer plenty of possibilities in terms of both lighting and decoration. In our catalogue, you will find options designed for all types of rooms, from discreet and minimalist lamps to larger designs that can become a focal point of the décor.

LED technology makes it possible to create lights with slimmer and more original shapes, as well as integrate different functions into a single lamp. You can choose from fixed, pendant, linear or geometric LED ceiling lights, available in different sizes, colours and finishes to suit the style of each space.

You will also find dimmable models and LED ceiling lights with CCT technology, allowing you to adapt the lighting to different moments and needs. Modern, classic and more decorative styles provide even more options for finding a lamp that suits both the look of the room and the type of lighting you are looking for.

What is the difference between an LED ceiling lamp and a conventional one?+

The main difference between an LED ceiling lamp and a conventional one (non-LED) lies in the technology used to produce light. An LED ceiling lamp incorporates LED diodes integrated into its design, while conventional ceiling lamps have lamp holders where the desired bulb is installed, which can also be an LED bulb.

Another difference is that by having integrated LEDs, designs can be made that would be impossible to carry out with traditional lamps. Additionally, this provides a more compact and streamlined appearance.

How long can an LED ceiling lamp last?+

The lifespan of an LED ceiling light can vary depending on several factors, such as the quality of the components, how it is used and the environment where it is installed. On our website, you can find this information in the product’s "Features" tab.

As a general reference, many models offer an approximate lifespan of 25,000 to 50,000 hours, although it is always advisable to check the specific figure provided by the manufacturer.

In a home, this can translate into many years of use. For example, a lamp with a lifespan of 30,000 hours used for around 5 hours a day could last for more than 16 years, although it is normal for the LED to gradually lose some of its light output over time.

Our advice: in addition to checking the rated lifespan, consider the quality of the light fixture and the warranty offered by the manufacturer. With a lamp that has an integrated LED, these aspects are especially important, as the light source forms part of the product itself.

Is a dimmable LED ceiling lamp or a CCT model better?+

They are not exactly the same, and the best option depends on what you want to be able to adjust in the lighting.

A dimmable LED ceiling lamp allows you to increase or reduce the light intensity. It is especially practical in living rooms, bedrooms or dining rooms, where you do not always need the same amount of light. You can use a higher intensity when you need good visibility and lower it in the evening to create a more relaxed atmosphere.

Ceiling lights with CCT technology allow you to change the colour temperature, usually between warm, neutral and, depending on the model, cooler tones. This is useful if you want to adapt not only the amount of light, but also the atmosphere of the room.

Some models include both dimming and CCT adjustment, offering even greater flexibility.

How many lumens do I need for an LED ceiling lamp?+

The number of lumens you need will depend mainly on the size of the room and how you use it. As a general reference, you can calculate around 100–150 lm/m² for bedrooms, approximately 150–200 lm/m² for living rooms and dining rooms, and around 200–300 lm/m² for kitchens, bathrooms or areas where you need more functional lighting.

For example, for a 20 m² living room, an LED ceiling lamp providing around 3,000–4,000 lumens can be a good reference for general lighting.

You should also take into account how the lamp is designed and how it distributes the light. A model with a wide diffuser can spread the light more evenly, while a fixture with more directional beams or several light sources may concentrate the light in specific areas. For this reason, two lamps with the same lumen output do not always create exactly the same perception of brightness.
