Ceiling Fans

Lighting ceiling Fans

Ceiling fans are an efficient, economical and decorative solution for cooling your home during hot days. We have a wide range of fans from top brands like Sulion, Faro and Leds C4 that are characterized by their quality, design and the use of the latest LED technology.

Ceiling fans with light ideal for not having to realize different installations in the ceiling and to have a double practical and decorative function. Different types of switch (remote control, switch or chain). Fans with remote control are one of the most recommended and efficient options.

Fans with "Winter" function that are able to optimize the efficiency of heating in the winter days, reversing the rotation of the blades to move down the hot air that accumulates in the rooms.

What is the right size ceiling fan for my room?+

Choosing the correct ceiling fan based on the size and height of our room is one of the most important aspects during the purchase process.

It is important not to skimp on this feature because a large fan running at a low speed is quieter and consumes less power than a small fan running at a higher speed.

  • Small rooms (less than 13m2): The ideal is a ceiling fan with blades with a diameter between 85-96cm. In ceiling fans with hidden blades (ceiling type) of 45-55cm.
  • Medium rooms (from 13 to 20m2): A ceiling fan with blades with a diameter between 96-110cm. In the case of a fan with hidden blades (ceiling type) of 55-65cm.
  • Large rooms (more than 20m2): The ideal is a ceiling fan with blades with a diameter between 110-132cm. In ceiling fans with hidden blades (ceiling type) the diameter should be greater than 65cm.

Remember that these recommendations are only general guidelines You may need to consult the product characteristics table on our website. If you have any questions, contact our customer service department.

Fan with DC or AC motor, which is better?+

The type of motor that equips the ceiling fan is perhaps with the size one of the most important characteristics to assess.

Ceiling fans can be equipped with two different types of motor: AC motor (alternating current) and DC motor (direct current).

These are the main differences between them:

  • Efficiency: DC motor fans are more energy efficient (up to 70%) compared to AC motor fans. DC motors use less power to generate the same amount of airflow, resulting in lower electricity consumption and lower energy costs in the long run.
  • Noise: DC motor ceiling fans are especially quieter than AC fans. DC motors generate less vibration and motor friction which results in smoother and quieter operation.
  • Functionality: Fans with DC motors are more technologically advanced than AC ones, this means that they usually incorporate more speeds, inverter function, remote control, etc.
  • Durability: A direct current DC motor suffers less friction and wear than an AC motor, in addition to having better cooling. This has an impact on a greater durability of DC fans compared to AC ones.
  • Weight: The DC motor is more compact and lighter than the AC, which allows lighter designs compared to AC fans.

What is the reverse function on a ceiling fan?+

Ceiling fans incorporate more and more features that make them a healthy and efficient ventilation system. The reverse or inverter function is one of those most important innovations.

The reverse function refers to the ability of the fan to rotate in both directions:

  • In summer: The fan blades rotate anti-clockwise, providing a current of air that helps cool the room.
  • In winter: The fan blades rotate clockwise, so that the blades push the cold air up and the hot air down. Thus, the hot air is distributed throughout the room, reaching the optimum temperature in less time. This process allows the room to be heated, saving energy by completing the heating system.

What is the type of air flow in a ceiling fan?+

The type of airflow in a ceiling fan refers to the direction and angle of air distribution produced by the fan. There are 2 main types of airflow that fans use.

  • Concentrated air flow: Ceiling fans with concentrated air flow expel air more perpendicular to the axis. In other words, the airflow angle is narrower, resulting in more concentrated coverage and spanning less square footage of the room.
  • Wide air flow: Ceiling fans with this type of air flow are characterized by having a wide air angle, which allows them to cover a larger surface area. They are especially recommended for large rooms.
